Matthew 7:11-22
“If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! Therefore, whatever you want others to do for you, do also the same for them- this is the Law and the Prophets”

Luke 6:31-36
Just as you want others to do for you, do for them. If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. If you do what is good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners to be repaid in full. But love your enemies, do what is good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is gracious to the ungrateful and evil. Be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.”
Proverbs 19:17
Kindness to the poor is a loan to the LORD.

Matthew 19:11
“Not everyone can accept this saying, but only those it has been given to. For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother’s womb, there are eunuchs who were made by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves that way because of the kingdom of heaven. Let anyone accept this who can.”

I CHING #60 Chieh: Restraint
Restraint brings success and progress. But restrictions that are severe and difficult should not be perpetuated.
Even in the midst of danger we experience pleasure and satisfaction in following the proper course. It is by the restraint exercised between terrestrial and celestial forces that the four seasons arrive each at its appointed time; so, when due restraint is show in the duties of government, the state suffers no injury, and the people no hurt.
Commentary Line 5: Do not ask others to wear a yoke you would be unwilling to carry on your own shoulders. Impose no rules that you yourself cannot live by. This is especially true if you are in a position of leadership. If you impose limits on others that fit the circumstances and do not overly limit their freedom, great success is possible.

1 John 2:27

“The one who does not love does not know God, because God is love.”
1 John 4:16
“And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.”
1 John 4:20
“If anyone says “I love God,” yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For the person who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. And we have this command from Him; the one who loves God must also love his brother.”
1 Peter 4:12-14, 19
“Dear friends, when the fiery ordeal arises among you to test you, don’t be surprised by it, as if something unusual were happening to you. Instead, as you share in the sufferings of the Messiah rejoice, so that you may also rejoice with great joy at the revelation of His glory. If you are ridiculed for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you”
“So those who suffer according to God’s will should, in doing good, entrust themselves to a faithful Creator”

“If there is a prophet among you from the LORD, I make myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream. Not so with my servant Moses; he is faithful in all My household. I speak with him directly, openly, and not in riddles; he sees the form of the LORD”

The joy of the people is boundless, because when those placed above behave virtuously and without pride towards those below them, their ways are brilliantly illuminated.
Self-absorbed individuals, whose entire purpose is personal accumulation of wealth or power, soon become prisoners to their own desires.
If you have an instinctive desire to help others at a time like this, heed it. Don’t be afraid to follow your heart when it desires to do good.
A kind heart does not make demands or ask for recognition. Genuine kindness and consideration flow naturally and spontaneously.
Becoming greedy or power hungry causes one to lose touch, because a broad vision is needed to observe the big picture—including what is coming up. The easiest way to lose good fortune is to take it for granted or to abuse the privilege.
James 3:16
‘For where envy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every kind of evil”

Isaiah 28:7
“These also stagger because of wine and stumble under the influence of beer: priest and prophet stagger because of beer, they are confused by wine. They stumble because of beer, they are muddled in their visions, they stumble in their judgments.”
Isaiah 40:13-15
Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD, or who gave Him counsel? Who did He consult with? Who gave Him understanding and taught Him the paths of justice? Who taught Him knowledge and showed Him the way of understanding? Look, the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are considered as a speck of dust on the scales.
Isaiah 40:17
All the nations are as nothing before Him; they are considered by Him as nothingness and emptiness.

James 3:4-8
And consider ships: though very large and driven by fierce winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. So too, though the tongue is a small part of the body, it boasts great things. Consider how large a forest a small fire ignites. And the tongue is a fire. The tongue, a world of unrighteousness, is placed among the part of our bodies; it pollutes the whole body, sets the course of life on fire, and is set on fire by hell.
For every creature- animal, or bird, reptile, or fish- is tamed and has been tamed by man, but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With it, we curse men who are made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come blessing and cursing.

Deuteronomy 9:4-6
“When the LORD your God drives them out before you, do not say to yourself, “The LORD brought me in to take possession of this land because of my righteousness.” Instead, the LORD will drive out these nations before you because of their wickedness. Luke 16:8
The master praised the unrighteous manager because he had acted astutely. For the sons of this age are more astute than the sons of light in dealing with their own people.
Luke 10:10
“Whoever is faithful in very little is also faithful in much, and whoever is unrighteous in very little is also unrighteous in much. So if you have not been faithful with the unrighteous money, who will trust you with what is genuine? And if you have not been faithful with what belongs to someone else, who will give you what is your own? No household slave can be the slave of two masters, since either he will hate one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t be slaves to both God and money.”
Luke 18:2
There was a judge in one town who didn’t fear God or respect man. And a widow in that town kept coming to him, saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.”
For a while, he was unwilling, but later he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or respect man, yet because this widow kept pestering me, I will give her justice, so she doesn’t wear me out by her persistent coming.”
Listen to what the unjust judge says. Will not God grant justice to His elect who cry out to Him day and night? Will He delay to help them?
