I Am Humans Current Projects Media Statement: June 2026

I Am Humans will further explore our thesis by gathering relevant data from the distribution of our grants across the grid. As we continue to monitor the outcomes of each project. It will take every bit of selfless effort to ensure these projects succeed. But at the same time, we must not overextend ourselves to the point where we are not seeing project success or the recipients have not taken the initiative upon themselves to change, alter, fix, correct, or break old habits that either caused or contributed to the current financial dilemmas our recipients may find themselves in.

In other words, we must not allow ourselves to believe we can fix anyone’s problems. No matter the outcome of our projects, we must carefully evaluate our current thinking models and learn how we can better assist future project recipients.

The outcome of our “Foster Youth Aging Out Project” was a failure. Likely due to the “yes” approach I Am Humans had overextended with the youth. We wanted the youth to succeed so badly that we set no boundaries for them.

We must learn as we go and not hold any person accountable for their own decisions. However, we must learn from our failure as a staff and an organization. Whereas when we do help, we must also learn to say no. This will shield I Am Humans from overextending ourselves. By the grace of our Higher Power and by the wisdom and knowledge of the Higher Power of our understanding.

I Am Humans hopes to lead the discussion on DAO grant distributions and community development, outside the norm of individualism and resource hoarding. As stated before, our thinking must be rooted in selflessness, and it won’t be easy. At the same time, we must learn to say no.
